Important Changes to Apprenticeship Certification - ENGLAND only

The certification of Apprenticeships in England has now switched over to the ‘ACE’ system (Apprenticeship Certificates England), an online system developed by the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils and run by the various Sector Skills Councils and Standard Setting Organisations including CFA.

ACE is now the only approved system used for issuing Apprenticeship Certificates in England. Unfortunately, CFA can therefore no longer accept paper based or CFA online applications. Any paper based certificate request forms that have already been received will be processed by CFA, but all future applications should be made via the ACE system.

Benefits of the ACE system

The ACE system allows learner information and evidence to be uploaded online, saving centres time and postal costs. The cost per certificate is also reduced, with each certificate now costing just £22 using the ACE system (as opposed to £25 per certificate for paper based submissions).  The new system also allows learner information to be inputted as the apprentice progresses, meaning evidence can be collected throughout the programme rather than just at the end. The system can be accessed by multiple users as many times as required and all evidence of achievements can be stored centrally for easy access.

How do I register for ACE?

To use the ACE system you will need to register your centre details. If you still need to register your centre onto ACE, please click here and enter your centre details.

** For Sales & Telesales, Marketing, Management and Team Leading and Contact Centres there will be a brief period of dual running of the old ‘blueprint’ and new ‘SASE’ frameworks in England, between 31st May 2011 and 28 June 2011.
