Following the Secretary of State’s announcement, the CfA is delighted to confirm that we have been appointed the Issuing Authority for all business pan sector apprenticeships.

Under section 13(1) of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009, the CfA is now legally appointed the Issuing Authority for the following apprenticeship frameworks:

• Business and administration
• Customer service
• Enterprise and business support
• Human resources and recruitment
• Industrial relations
• Leadership and management
• Marketing and sales.

Our status also includes Issuing Authority rights for contact centres and the third sector. Announcements from the Welsh Assembly Government are expected soon.

This is an exciting development for the CfA and follows the announcements made last May when the CfA was appointed the business pan sector framework developer for England and Wales - as well as the organisation responsible for all business pan sector apprenticeship frameworks in Scotland.

Jenny Hewell, Chief Executive, says: “This is a legal landmark for the CfA and we are determined to offer our very best services to all our learning providers, apprentices and their employers. Currently 24% of all apprenticeship completions in England have graduated from one of our apprenticeship frameworks, so I am acutely aware of the contribution our apprentices are making to the entire business workforce across the UK.”
