to the growth of the UK economy. As the National Standard Setting Body for vocational education and skills in Business & Administration and Governance, the CfA (Council for Administration) is leading the UK’s drive for world class skills.

Our vision is to work with employers to develop qualifications, frameworks and learning resources that enable employers and learners to make a real difference within the business world.

 

Our footprint

There are 4.5 million administrators employed in the UK. Of this group, 2.7 million are pure administrators and 1.8 million are specialist administrators.

A further 10 million people need Business & Administration skills to carry out their professional, managerial or technical jobs competently.

There are 6 million company directors employed in the UK.

Administrators make up 15% of the UK workforce.

In the last decade, over 800,000 learners have achieved CfA certifications.

The Business & Administration Apprenticeship remains firmly in the top 5 of the most popular Apprenticeships in England and in the top 10 for Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

30% of all graduates begin their working life within Business & Administration posts.

12.5% of all vocational learners study Business & Administration qualifications in colleges, universities and work based learning.
