QCF units are units of assessment, based upon National Occupational Standards (NOS). Unlike National Occupational Standards (which are general resources), QCF units are only used for qualification purposes.
CfA is working to develop QCF units across all business skills areas. These QCF units will be available for use by awarding bodies within qualifications, and make up the new ‘QCF versions’ of NVQs from August 2010 onwards in most sectors.
Below are the suites of QCF units currently available which cover business skills. Awarding Organisations should use these units wherever possible when developing business skills qualifications, rather than developing their own units. These QCF units can also be used by Sector Bodies developing sector specific qualifications which contain any business skills elements.
