What are National Occupational Standards?

The Business & Administration National Occupational Standards (NOS) are part of the National Standards programme. They are designed to meet the needs of both employers and employees and consist of a series of statements which describe the skills, knowledge and understanding needed for an individual to carry out their work effectively.

How are they developed?

The Business & Administration Standards are developed by the CfA in consultation with industry specialists and employers.
