Standards

Please find information below detailing recent research into Standards. You can also read about current CfA projects in this area.

Project: Incremental Change

CfA undertakes annual appraisals of the 2005 Business & Administration Standards Levels 1-4, to ensure that they are fit for purpose. Areas of appraisal can include: language, content and assessment.

If you would like to give feedback on any aspect of the 2005 Business & Administration Standards, please contact Kelly Saliba on 020 7091 9635.

Project: Specialist Standards

The CfA regularly works with sectors to review the needs of specialist administrators. To date, standards have been developed for the parking, agriculture, legal and custodial care sectors as well as for case workers.

If you would like to discuss the possibility of working with the CfA to develop specialist Business & Administration standards for your sector or would just like to find out more and the benefits for your industry, please contact Kerrie Fuller on 020 7091 9622.

Project: Governance Standards

The CfA is currently consulting on draft Governance Standards with regard to the Companies Act 2006. Governance standards cover the legal, moral and ethical administrative responsibilities of board members, strategic decision makers and company secretaries.

If you would like to find out more about this project or would like to participate in the consultation process, please contact Kerrie Fuller on 020 7091 9622.

Project: Self Administration Standards

The CfA has developed Self Administration Standards that are aimed at the 18m workers in the UK in professional, managerial, small business and other business related occupations. These workers are not full-time business administrators, but need Business & Administration skills to carry out their own job role competently.

The Self Administration Standards will set the benchmark for employees' skills in all sectors. We are currently developing a relevant Self-Administration qualification as well as a text book to support learners. If you would like any further information on this project, please contact Kelly Saliba on 020 7091 9635.
