Widening your child's prospects for the future

A Young Apprenticeship is a great way of getting a taste of ‘real work' whilst still studying towards your core subjects at school. It's an opportunity to find out what it's really like in the workplace before deciding on your future direction.

The programme was launched in September 2004, with 1000 pupils from all over England , taking part in Young Apprenticeships programme. Due to the programme's success, there will be a total of 12,500 young people embarking on a Young Apprenticeship across 14 sectors.

Experience the world of work

The Young Apprenticeship in Business & Administration is one of the most popular amongst young Apprentices with a high percentage opting for apprenticeship in this sector. The programme gives pupils a realistic insight into what life is really like in today's business environment. By carrying out administrative tasks and developing core business skills you will understand the nature and demands of full-time work, which will help you to make more informed decisions when you reach 16. You will work towards a work-based or work-related qualiication at level 2 that will develop skills ans knowledge, which will support you in the workplace.
